Associazione Culturale "Dorian"

The “Dorian” Cultural Association was born in December 2017, and is based in Quartu Sant'Elena. Since its foundation it has been active in organizing book presentations, concerts, workshops, exhibitions, festivals and exhibitions. The President of The Association is Mrs. Doriana Follesa, and is led by the Artistic Direction of Maestros Cristina Scalas and Davide Mocci, who make their experience in the musical and literary fields available to create ever new and attractive events for the public who follows the proposals with interest of the Association. In addition to various individual events and dozens of demonstrations, in Sardinia and beyond, such as the show "Grazia Deledda in Esalettura", at the Campidoglio in Rome in collaboration with the Blind and Visually Impaired Union of Nuoro and the actress Caterina Murino, then repeated at the Parlamentino of the CNEL in Rome, in Padua, Parma and Vercelli, the concert of the Theremin player Pekkanini, (Sweden), the participation of the “Duo Dorian” in the 36th Edition of “Sciampitta - International Festival of Folklore", live on television on Videolina, the Association boasts the creation of the "Dorian Festival" (now in its fourth edition), and the "Serramanna Music Festival" (now in its third edition). The Dorian Festival was initially born in Quartu Sant'Elena, and then spread to various municipalities in Sardinia. Within the four editions of the Dorian Festival, literary, musical and social events and LGBT issues were presented. The Dorian Cultural Association, on the occasion of the Dorian Festival it collaborated with various other associations and organizations in the regional territory, such as the "Condaghes" publishing house, the "Pettirosso Editore" publishing house, the "la Zattera" publishing house, the "il Maestrale" publishing house , the “Chance Editore” publishing house, the “Costellazioni Letterarie” Literary Festival of Lotzorai, the “Jannas” Literary Competition of Quartu Sant'Elena, the “Quartu Soccorso” organization, the “Sardegna Rossoblu” Association, the “Ellipsis”, the “Friends of the Conservatory of Sassari” Association, the “Union of the Blind and Visually Impaired of Nuoro ONLUS”, the “ARC” of Cagliari, the central library of Quartu Sant'Elena, the Istituto Comprensivo “Su Planu”, the Municipality of Quartu Sant'Elena etc. During the editions of the “Dorian Festival” and the “Serramanna Music Festival”, the “Dorian” Cultural Association had the opportunity to promote and collaborate with dozens of writers and musicians , among which we remember Claudio Moica, Matteo Porru, Emiliano Reali (Rome), Danilo Mallò, Guido Dorascenzi, Gloria Lai, Giovanni Follesa, Ivano Argiolas, Roberto Deriu, Marcello Lasio, Jean Claudio Vinci, Maurizio Nonnis, Duo “Dorian”, Duo “Ellipsis”, Duo “Amici del Conservatorio di Sassari”, Banda Musicale “G. Verdi”, Suzuki Harp Ensamble, Alessandro Abis, Vittoria Lai, Valerio Carta, Chiara Loi, Francesco Scalas, “Cromatamente Coro” etc.
